We are a multidisciplinary boutique law firm located in CBD Sydney & Melbourne and we have one to two solicitor positions open in 【Sydney】and or【Melbourne】.
Applicants that can demonstrate the following attributes and experience will be preferred:
Be admitted to practice in Australia and have a tertiary legal qualification
Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin)
Appropriate visa permitting them to work in Australia
Have a minimum of 2 years + PQE gained in an employment practice (for senior solicitor position)
Conveyancing with ability to handle bundle of off-the-plan settlements at tight time period, for VIC, NSW, SA and QLD
Commercial including commercial lease, retail lease and business purchase and sale
Corporation law including business structure, shareholder agreement, JV and trust
M & A preferred in cross border transaction
General legal advisory for corporation, commercial and business
Family law including financial agreement, divorce, consent order and settlement
Litigation for local, district/county, supreme and Federal Courts
The candidates are not required to have experience in all above areas, but one with experience and expertise in three or more of the above areas would be preferred.
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Legal documents fast comprehension and drafting skills
A high level of attention to detail and technical excellence
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Rich general knowledge and common sense
Strong time management and organisational skills, together with the capacity in managing and conduct multiple tasks with competing priorities
Pressure handling ability and good team worker
Be able to complete tasks with minimum supervision (for senior solicitor position)
Experience with LEAP would be desirable
Must be proficient in Windows OS, MS Words, Excel and Outlook
Gmail, Google Drive, PDF editing
The candidate may perform following tasks:
· interviewing and communicate with clients to determine the nature of problems, and identify legal issues
· conduct legal research, provide legal solutions and recommending and undertaking appropriate legal action
· preparing and drafting legal documents including but without limitation contracts, agreements, deeds, notices, briefs, applications and court documents, etc.
· conducting negotiation on behalf of clients on matters associated with law
· preparing cases for court by conducting investigations, undertaking research, arranging witness preparation and attendance, and giving notice of court actions
· may representing clients in court, AAT, tribunals
· managing conveyancing matters by preparing contracts of sale, mortgage, lease and other documents relating to the transfer of land and buildings
· preparing and critically reviewing contracts between parties
· providing advice on family law, corporation law, commercial law and other areas of law
· managing cases under supervision, from file notes, file opening, invoice, accounts and file closing procedure
· other related duties and/or duties directed and delegated by the Employer from time to time
